RedLine K9 Dog Ear Supports
Set of two dog ear support forms made out of special foam. Dog ear support forms are like adding an extra layer of cartilage to help support soft ears on dogs that naturally should have an erect ear set. These ergonomically designed dog ear support forms help promote proper shape and growth.

These dog ear support forms are approximately 4 in long and molded into the shape of erect dog ears. Ear props can be attached to the ear via medical adhesive like Skin Bond Latex Adhesive: OSTO-BOND SKIN BONDING CEMENT, 4 OZ. CAN W/BRUSH. or medical tape (both of which are available from a pharmacy).

Tips for Fitting
Since every dog ear is unique, there is technically no right or wrong way to place them in your dogs' ear. The best way is whichever way fits your dogs' ear...
First do a dry fit. Just place them against the inside of your dogs' ear and see where you may need to adjust them.
The curve should follow the natural curve of the dogs' ear.
The L and R are guidelines but the L and R may fit best in your dog if they are reversed.
If you need to trim them, then you can easily trim the top, bottom and/or sides with a pair of scissors.

These ear forms are perfect for helping a GSD puppy’s ears to stand up. Our puppy is 6.5 months old and one of his ears was up and down, but mostly down. Although we know that teething can directly affect the strength in their ears, we were getting concerned about reaching the critical time for his ear to stay up permanently. After reading online that INCORRECT taping can do more harm than good, we decided these ear forms were the way to go because you can’t really mess up the application. We purchased Torbot Skin Bonding Cement online to adhere it to his ear. It didn’t bother him at all and it didn’t fall out. After 5 days of wear, we took it off to assess his progress. It’s now been day 3 since removing it and his ear has remained up and strong!!

Amazing ears forms!!!! My pupper had some cartilage damage in one of his ears the vet taped it up a few times over 3 weeks...it dropped as soon as he removed the bandage. I used the ear form with torbot cement plus a few breath right strips.. Bang big boy ears a popping :-)

Q: At what age should you use these. He has one ear down and one up but has held both up at times should both be used?

A: The ear forms work best when used in pups whose cartilage is still forming so normally anywhere from 6 to 9 months depending on the dog. If one ear is standing up then only use in the one ear that is down but if both still flip/flop then use them in both.

Q: how do you adhere theses to the dogs ear? Are they able to scratch them or shake them off?

A: Hello Nancy,

Our Ear Sports can be adhered with any type of mild skin glue from a pharmacy near you.
If applied correctly, they should not shake off or scratch off.

Without knowing your exact shipping address I'll estimate one set of ear forms going USPS Priority which is an air option for $29.
Please note that we don't carry an adhesive at this time, so the estimate doesn't include the glue.
